"Living With The Enemy" Named Finalist for Midwest Book Award

“Living With The Enemy” was just named as a Finalist for the Midwest Book Award in the Self-Help category.  I am grateful for this recognition and hope that it helps to get my story and the hope of recovery to those in need of a solution to their addictions.

The 21st Annual Midwest Book Awards are sponsored by the Midwest Independent Publishers Association.  Entries are accepted in many different categories from the 12 states in the Midwest.  The Midwest Book Award winners will be announced on May 11, 2011.

Hi Elisabeth,Congratulations on your second reeslae. I know I'm too late for the contest, but I still wanted to answer your question. I've never thought exotic locales were off-putting in novels, mostly because the closest many of us will ever get to such places (be the reasons financial, poor health, familial/career obligations, etc.) is through books and movies. Authors like you, who bring such faraway places to life for those of us who may never be able to reach them personally, are giving readers the incredible gift of visiting them in our dreams/imagination.-catie
